One place with prayers about the Sisters of St. Joseph.
That’s how the Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph (ACSSJ) got the idea for their book “That All May Be One.”
“We were thinking it was a smaller-scale project that was just going to be an internal piece that would compile the great resources and the best practices that we had across our nine colleges and universities founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph,” ACSSJ Executive Director Martha Malinski, who served as editor of the book, said during a showcase event about the book on Sept. 23.
“And along that process, we discovered we have more here that we have to share and that we have to say,” Malinski added.
Published in 2019, “That All May Be One” offers an introduction to the spirit and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
“To collaborate with different members as we worked together, and the sharing that we involved ourselves in, even as we were putting it together, and the reflections — it really helped me to think more deeply about my own roots and the beginnings, and having been to La Puy (the French town where the Sister of St. Joseph were founded) many times, to really feel that again,” said Associate Professor and Director of Academic Advising at SJC Long Island S. Suzanne Franck, C.S.J., Ph.D., a key contributor to the book.
